Subzi Spice has been trading since 2005 in Glasgow. We are a family run company comprised of an uncle, nephew and son team.

Wasim ‘the uncle’ has been in the business of food for most of his working life. Starting from a retail outlet in the west end of Glasgow he developed new recipes and built a rapport with many of his customers. His business ran for 25 years, providing invaluable experience of what the customer wants.

Aiming to build on his experience he decided to make the change from retail to wholesale. But he needed help.

Yusaf ‘the nephew’ had joined Wasim within his retail establishment three years prior to its sale. New to the big city and the world of food he was keen to learn about the industry. After three years experience he also felt ready to make the change to wholesale.

In October 2005 Wasim, Yusaf and Omar ‘the son’ started Subzi Spice from a small industrial unit in the east end of Glasgow. Business started to progress.  As a new customer base was established the phones started to ring - word had got out about the high quality products and service.

After two years Subzi Spice started to outgrow its east end unit due to a rise in demand in all sectors of the market. It was time to move to larger premises and in October of 2007 Subzi Spice moved to its current location in Springburn, Glasgow where they continue to grow and develop new quality products.



 We are now happy to be able to supply the north of Scotland directly from 2016
